Purpose Through Joy, Joy Through Shared Sacred Space

Purpose Through Joy, Joy Through Shared Sacred Space

I love being with others in sacred spaces; always have. One of my first memories of ritual was when I was in 3rd grade. My best friend and I would create elaborate ceremonies around the stream that flowed in the wood near my school. Completely intuited, we would discover that if we took a certain number of steps, with a certain kind of intention, and some magical incantations thrown in, we could open up a threshold to the fairy world. Peering down into the stream, somewhere among reflections of floating clouds and breezy treetops and the rippling of water over stones, we were able to see the in-between worlds, the darting of small beings moving in and out of form. What might at one moment present as a white birch, became, in the blink of an eye, a white unicorn peering at us through nature’s delicious chaos.

I never lost this love of shared magic, the way this kind of experience is amplified when people create and wonder and explore consciousness and nature together. I have to laugh a bit at my saccharine description of magic above, because it hasn’t always been unicorns and fairies. They’re always there, but so are terrifying monsters made of thoughts and hideous gorgons of self-loathing, and dark thunderclouds spewing believable lies. And I love these too, for we learn so very much while exploring them together in a shared sacred space. The tears that often come after the naming and slaying of terrible dragons, fall onto my altar cloth just like the gleaming jewels of blissful laughter.

Beyond all judgment, somewhere maybe in the New Earth, or 5D, or whatever you want to call it, we can cut the small talk, intuit our way through ceremonial thresholds, and play with the Art of discovering your Magic, which is no different than your Purpose; the way in which your practical life becomes a teacher for consciousness itself.
